About Our Programs
YC Foundation partners with the Greater Houston community to deliver direct, measurable support built around four core pillars: affordable housing and emergency shelter, emergency food services, community support services, and health and financial literacy. Together, these programs provide low-income women and families with the gap resources, education, and advocacy needed to move from crisis to long-term stability.

Affordable Housing & Emergency Shelter
YC Foundation provides safe and affordable housing at fair market rates for those with adverse or zero rental history, removing traditional barriers to sustainable housing. We are proud to collaborate with community social service agencies in support of rental assistance and housing choice vouchers.
YC Foundation is currently developing space for emergency shelter services in the Montgomery County service area.

Emergency Food Services
Partnering with local food banks and community action agencies, YC Foundation provides limited emergency food box delivery services to homebound and transportation-strained households. We provide service to seniors, disabled citizens, veterans, and pregnant women.

Community Support Services
Ensuring gap coverage — temporary financial support that bridges the time between an emergency and longer-term stability — YC Foundation provides financial coverage for the purchase of medical supplies, transportation assistance, child safety equipment, and birthing/parenting essentials.

Health and Financial Literacy
Education is empowerment. YC Foundation provides community-based group learning sessions for health and financial literacy. Providing hands-on education and self-sufficiency strategies to participants, building individual’s capacity for continued growth and sustainability.
